Practice

We meet every Friday evening at Morton Park Hall, Carlisle, at 7.30 pm for practice, if you feel you would like to join us, please contact either our Secretary or Conductor.  We would love to hear from you; our only requirements are that you enjoy singing and that you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour, a knowledge of music would be a big bonus!

We are willing to go to any church, chapel or mission to assist them in the presentation of the Gospel, we make no charge for our attendance at any meeting, this is part of our service for our Lord. Any donation made to the choir is used in our service for Him. We also try to keep every third Friday in the month for visiting various Homes for the Elderly, Nursing Homes and Sheltered Housing complexes in our area.

On the second Saturday in March every year we hold our Annual Festival of Male Voice Praise which is now held in the Methodist Church, Wigton Road, Carlisle. At these Festivals we are augmented by choir men from other choirs in the movement, they usually come from Glasgow, Morecambe, Bolton and York. We in turn attend The Festivals in other areas as they come round; in the past some of our men have travelled as far as Swansea on two occasions, others have been privileged to attend the National All Britain Festivals, two of which were held in Albert Hall London, one in Glasgow, one in Belfast and just in September 2006 in Cardiff. Some of have also been privileged to journey twice to U.S.A. and Canada for a two week tour singing in various places from Churches to Prisons and Capitol Buildings.
