We are an international group of committed "Born Again" Believers who enjoy singing for our Lord and Saviour. We are affiliated to the Festivals of Male Voice Praise movement, which was founded in 1934 by James McRoberts of Glasgow; the movement is now International with choirs in: America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, U.K. and Ireland
Where can you find us?
We practice every Friday evening at 7.30pm at Morton Park Hall, Wigton Road, Carlisle. If you enjoy singing and feel you would like to join us, then come along on a Friday evening or contact our Secretary or Conductor (contact details under "Officers"). Our only requirements are that you enjoy singing and that you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your own personal Saviour. O yes, if you know music that would be a great bonus!
More about us!
In the Cumbria Area we have two choirs, ourselves and the "Orton Male Voice Choir" situated in Kendal.
We are willing to go to any Church or Chapel who would like us to go and assist them in the presentation of the Gospel, we do not charge for our attendance, this is part of our service for our Lord. We also try to keep the third Friday in the month free to attend some of the Homes in our area.
What else do we do?
On the second Saturday in March every year we hold our Annual Carlisle Festival of Male Voice Praise, which is held in the Methodist church, Wigton Road, Carlisle, at 7pm. At these Festivals we are augmented by choir men from around the country, mainly from Glasgow, Bolton, York, Morecambe, Teesdale, and we in turn attend their Festivals |
